To switch to Windows

• Press the F1 key while holding down the Ctrl and Alt keys. This will switch you to a text console.
• At the text console, press the Delete or Del key, while holding down the Ctrl and Alt keys.
• You may need to release the Ctrl and Alt keys between these operations.
• When the machine reboots, select the first entry from the boot menu.

To run the monochromator software

• Open a terminal (just above the help button)
• In the terminal type spectra followed by the Enter key.

The motor alway goes in the wrong direction!!!

• Labmaster outputs PA0 and PA1 give opposite signals. Swap to the other, the direction of the motor will reverse.

The motor always goes the same direction

• Check the DIR_IN in put of the controller is connected to either PA0 or PA1 output of the Labmaster.
• Check on the scope that these outputs change according to the desired direction.
• Check the cable --- it happens!
